Cord Blood

Human cells from umbilical cord blood have many advantages for both cell grafts mainly because of the immaturity of newborn cells compared with adult cells. Unlike their mesenchymal and hematopoietic potential, it remains unclear whether the cells of umbilical cord blood has endodermal jurisdiction.

Human cells in the umbilical cord blood  can proliferate hepatocyte cell line in the system of primary culture of origin in vitro, and differentiate into hepatocytes in vivo function of maturity. To our knowledge, this is the first evidence that human umbilical cord blood contains cells that produce cell proliferative endoderm.
