Once upon a time there was a formerly fit and athletic guy who had gained weight and was looking to lose stomach fat fast. Over the years he ate whatever he wanted and went to the gym occasionally and even did some inconsistent cardio, but those habits led to a big belly.
Even though he was in the military, his belly fat got big and his health got bad. In fact, the hero of our story, Hal Empsom built up so much stomach fat that his blood pressure was through the roof!
If he wanted to lose stomach fat fast, he knew he had to do three things. The first was to change his diet from a powerlifter’s plan to a nutrition program that allowed fat loss to take place easy and naturally.
The second thing he needed to do was to switch from old-school powerlifting and bodybuilding workouts over to short, burst exercise new-school fat loss workouts. And finally, the third thing he needed to do was take up interval training in place of slow cardio.
By making these 3 changes, he was able to get amazing results and lose stomach fat fast. In just 12 weeks Hal lost over 33 pounds of fat and won a 12-week Transformation Contest. His transformation was life-changing and life-saving, because as you’ll see, Hal was tempting fat with his old-school habits.
Hal started the transformation at age 46, having been in the military for over 28 years. He was also a self-described meathead, loving to lift, but also guilty of using those workouts to justify his big belly eating plan. Once in a while he dabbled in long, slow cardio to try and lose stomach fat, but it didn’t work for him.
Like everyone who transforms, Hal needed a significant emotional event to get the wheels turning, and that happened on the day that he nearly passed out while tying his shoes and having his doctor tell him that his cholesterol levels were killing him.
Hal knew that his old-school meathead lifting and diet plan was not helping, so he searched the internet for bodyweight exercises and stumbled across a home workout Transformation Contest (where men and women compete for cash prizes based on their 12-week fat loss results).
He immediately knew this was for him. The program he started changed his diet (to eating more whole, natural foods and fewer foods from a bag or a box), his lifting (from max strength to high-intensity dumbbell and bodyweight exercises done with short rests), and his cardio (from long and slow to short and fast intervals).
The changes were simple. This wasn’t rocket science. But it was enough to help him lose stomach fat fast. His workouts went from 2 hour powerlifting marathons to three short, but intense workouts per week lasting only 45 minutes each. And he was having fun while doing them, thank to the frequently changing challenges.
His life was too busy to be doing long workouts that only contributed to bad health. So when Hal switched his life to follow the 3 keys to lose stomach fat fast, he completely transformed his body in only 12 weeks.
If you need to lose stomach fat and get rid of your belly, start eating fewer foods from a bag or a box while eating more whole, natural foods, take up new-school fat loss workouts, and switch from slow cardio to short intervals, and you’ll lose fat fast!
